In every campaign there is an opportunity

The opportunity could be to brand or position a candidate or opponent to leverage advantage or neutralize weakness. It could be to preempt or counter an attack or respond to a crisis. It could be to win the support of a defeated rival’s supporters. It could be to seek the support of voters in another party or, in today’s politics, another political tribe – a challenging but fertile audience.

Seizing opportunity requires an objective assessment of the political climate with an understanding of voter behavior and what it will take to win your campaign.

Hyperpartisanship and tribalism add to the audiences that need to be reached with the mulitcultural sensitivity required to communicate effectively across political, attitudinal, racial and gender lines.

And, lest we forget the lesson of 2024, it requires listening to learn what is resonating with voters and understanding that one message seldom fits all.

Last, it requires creating a message with persuasive rhetoric and an effective visual design tailored for its audience, and delivering it with informed targeting through effective channels.
